How Much Weight Will I Lose in a Week?
How much weight a person loses depends on age, sex and whether they have any health condition. Health organisations, including the World Health Organization, recommend a slow and steady pace rather than rapid loss, and the right pace for you is decided together with your dietitian. Results vary from person to person.
Would Using Someone Else's Diet Plan Work for Me?
All people have different lifestyles, cultures and habits. In this case, a person's body health and make-up will be different from everyone else's too. The main aim of consulting a dietitian or an online dietitian is to help make a lasting change in your eating pattern. For this reason, plans must always be prepared individually. In fact, using the plan of a friend for whom a personalised plan has been prepared may even make you gain weight. Be careful!
How Long Will It Take to Reach My Target Weight?
To answer this question, we need to know the person's starting weight, target weight and age. The pace is different for everyone and is planned together with your dietitian, so we do not give a fixed timeframe.
How Does the Online Diet Process Start?
At the start of the online process, we hold a preliminary meeting and decide on our programme. Then we have a long conversation in which we look at your eating habits and lifestyle and create the most suitable eating plan for you. After that, on the days we have booked, we adjust your plan and talk. In fact, the only difference between online and face-to-face sessions is that you take your measurements yourself at home :) Apart from that, the whole process is the same as in the clinic.
I Exercise but Still Cannot Lose Weight. Why?
There can be many reasons for this: hormonal problems, wrong nutrition approaches, frequently trying different popular diets, or exercise done in the wrong way. Or, the situation I come across most among my clients is eating freely because it is assumed that a lot of calories have been burned through exercise. Sadly, when you run 2 km, you can only burn about one waffle. For this reason, when you exercise, your nutrition also needs to be calculated. With a personalised eating plan and the right types of exercise for the person, the difficulty with weight management can be addressed.
How Will I Measure My Body in an Online Diet?
Measurements taken in the morning on an empty stomach give us a clearer result. Measurements are taken with a tape measure and scales. The areas to be measured are mainly the waist and the hips.
For the waist, the lowest point of the ribcage (upper point) and the top of the hip bone (lower point) are used as a basis. The measurement is taken with the tape at the middle of the two.
Is There a Difference Between an Online Diet and a Face-to-Face Diet?
The only difference between an online diet and a clinic appointment is that the measurements are taken at home. And, of course, the energy and the coffee chat :)
What Should Be Done Before Starting a Diet?
The only thing to do before starting a diet is to make the decision. (During the Covid period, some flexibility with blood tests has been possible.)
Is the Diet Plan Changed According to Need?
Diet plans must contain everything the human body needs. These needs differ for each client. For this reason an individual eating plan needs to be made for each client. Because of social life, needs always change, so there must be changes. It is not possible to get through the process with a single plan.
