A light and practical poğaça (Turkish savoury bun) made with wholewheat and oat flour, filled with tomato, pepper, herbs and cheese for a tasty breakfast.
Place 200 g of a mixture of wholewheat flour, oat flour and whole oats in a bowl.
Add 1 dessert spoon of sourdough starter and 1 dessert spoon of salt, and mix.
Add 1 small tea glass (about 100 ml) of warm water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to this mixture, mix and knead.
Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling for the poğaça.
For the filling, chop the tomatoes, pepper, parsley, basil, cheese and olives. Mix the chopped ingredients in a bowl and let them rest.
Then roll out the risen dough with a rolling pin and cut out rounds using a glass.
Roll the rounds out again with the rolling pin.
Add the prepared filling to the dough rounds and close them up in any way you like.
Place the poğaça on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes. These quantities make 14 poğaça in total, at only 80 calories each.
